Tamayo House
Tamayo House is a transitional housing opportunity for former foster youth and young adults who may be homeless. Tamayo House offers a safe place to live, counseling, case management, job readiness training, adult mentoring, and independent living skills instruction.
Our goal is for each resident to have privacy and independence, yet be able to access support when they feel they need it. This is achieved through providing private rooms, but sharing kitchen/dining, recreation, and computer lab areas. Peer facility monitors provide security and stability and, together with all the Tamayo House residents, everyone helps each other to become independent, community-involved adults. Bi-lingual services available.

Youth Employment Center – SAY Main
The YEC provides youth opportunities for employment and education development. We provide job readiness workshops, including resume building and mock interviews. We invite local employers to give presentations about their organizations and possible employment opportunities. We also match youth to apprenticeship programs, assist them in GED preparation and discuss how to be more engaged in school.
Summer Leadership Program – SAY Main and off site
The YEC also sponsors SAY’s Summer Leadership Program. This program is specifically for youth involved in gangs or who are at risk of involvement. In a safe environment, youth learn how to get along and help others by participating in sports (softball, basketball, surfing, whitewater rafting) as well as participating in community service activities. Many youth who have completed this program sign up at the YEC for job and education services. Counselors work one-on-one with clients to provide support and encouragement.
